Mr Shimelis Tsegaye Tesemma is currently working at The African Child Policy Forum (ACPF) as a Senior Policy Research Specialist, playing a key role as a source of analytical and technical expertise in the organisation, providing thorough, timely and accurate analyses of complex and emerging issues related to children and facilitating knowledge building, knowledge sharing and learning on research and policy issues.

Mr Tesemma has conceptualised, co-authored and co-ordinated each of the two existing editions of The African Report on Child Wellbeing – a pan-African report covering 52 African countries as well as being the author of a number of research reports on various issues that constitute child survival, child poverty and child wellbeing.

He has a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the Addis Ababa University and is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of South Africa (UNISA).
